Yes. Cheezus is a free cheese tracker for iOS and Android. You log each cheese you taste with a rating, tasting notes and a photo, and it builds into a personal collection called your cheese box.
How do I keep a cheese journal?
The trick is to record it at the moment of tasting, not later. Note the name and producer, a score, and two or three words about the flavour and texture. Cheezus does the first part for you by scanning the label, so all you have to add is the opinion.
Can I identify a cheese from a photo?
Cheezus reads cheese labels using its AI scanner and fills in the name, producer, origin, milk type and ageing automatically. Point the camera at the label on the packaging or the ticket at the counter.
What should I write in my tasting notes?
Texture first, then flavour, then finish. Is it crumbly, springy, oozing? Is it nutty, grassy, sharp, barnyardy? Does the taste linger or vanish? Even three words beat nothing, and patterns appear quickly once you have logged a dozen.
